The tapenade is ready for use. Absolutely delicious on a slice of freshly roasted ciabatta: a super-fast bruschetta. Also wonderful in pasta dishes, on top of  white fish just out of the oven or mix it with your favourite (Italian) dressing.

HOW IS THE TAPENADE MADE?

This tapenade is made on a family farm in the mountains of Calabria: at the tip of the boot of Italy. Only high-quality ingredients from the region are used. The tomatoes and herbs used to make their tapenades are planted, cared for and harvested by the family.

When the tomatoes have absorbed enough Italian sun, they are picked, cut into slices and dried in the sun. Then they are further dried in a special oven. And to get this delicious tapenade, the sundried tomatoes are mixed with sunflower oil, extra virgin olive oil, almonds and pistachio nuts.

TIP

If you want to keep the tapenade longer: pour a layer of neutral extra virgin olive oil over the tapenade so that it is completely covered.
