The Sugo Piccante is prepared according to an Italian recipe. First a ‘soffrito’ is made with onion and extra virgin olive oil, after which Italian tomatoes, red bell pepper, red peppers and chili peppers are added. The tomato sauce is then cooked on low heat for a longer period of time, until the sauce is thickened. This is also called the ‘slow cooked’ method. The Sugo Piccante is then seasoned with only natural ingredients such as parsley, basil, garlic, sea salt and sunflower oil.

The tomato sauce does not contain sugars, thickeners and flavoring – this is in contrast with many industrial products. Heat the sauce evenly, until the sauce is warm. Now you can serve the tomato sauce with different pasta dishes, rice specialties or as a warm dip in combination with fresh bread.
