These extraordinary Hojiblanca olives are from Granada, a town in the province of Andalusia. The town was once in hands of the Moors and the Jewish, both of whom left their culinary trails, which explains the unique gastronomy in this town. 

Because the olives in the Aceitunas Dulces rellenas con Higos are caramelized, they have a sweet flavor as opposed to the somewhat bitter flavor of regular olives. People who normally do not like olives and children for example, will be positively surprised by this sweet olive treat. The fig filling provides a special contrast in flavor and texture, making for a sweet and rich experience. Allow yourself to be surprised and convinced.
