Nice to know

Mascarpone is a rich, creamy cheese from Italy. Many people know mascarpone from tiramisu; it’s an essential ingredient in this typical Italian dessert. Try combining it with some fresh fruit and a fruit coulis for a very refreshing taste!

An ideal combination!  

  • Ingredients

    • 16 eggs • 500 g mascarpone • 3 tbsp vanilla sugar • zest and juice of 1 lemon

    Fruit filling:
    • 160 g strawberries • 1 tbsp Blueberry HoneyStrawberry Prosecco Coulis • 160 g pineapple • 1 tbsp Orange Blossom Honey Pineapple Coconut Coulis

  • Getting started

    Blow out some raw eggs or hardboil them and spoon out the contents. Mix the mascarpone with sugar and lemon zest and scoop into a piping bag. Cut the fruit very finely. Mix the strawberries with Blueberry Honey and the pineapple with Orange Blossom Honey.

    Step 2

    Fill the eggs with a spoon of fruit (20 g), then add the mascarpone mixture. Make a small hole in which to put the coulis. Pour Strawberry Prosecco Coulis on the strawberry mixture and Pineapple Coconut Coulis on the pineapple mixture.

    Tip

    Make your own vanilla sugar by filling a Pure Food Inside glass jar with sugar and Vanilla Beans Bourbon Madagascar (the seeds from two vanilla pods). Add the vanilla pods to it as this will give more flavour. Give it at least 1 week to allow the flavour to infuse.
