The first tortillas go as far back as 10000 b.C. and at that time they were made of dried corn granules. According to Mayan tradition the tortillas were invented by a farmer to feed hungry children. Nowadays tortillas are made of corn, cooked in a lime blend. This dough mixture is then baked into pancakes. Tortilla chips are sliced pancakes, soaked in oil and baked in the oven. The Mexicans used tortilla chips often as cutlery to scoop up dishes with. The Tortilla Chips Natural of Oil & Vinegar have a recognizable and pure taste of corn and they are deliciously crispy and firm.

Serve these Tortilla Chips with delicious homemade guacamole (avocado, onion, garlic, lime juice), salsa sauce, spicy mayonnaise, chilli con carne or a delicious salad. Try putting the chips in the oven with some grated cheese on it, or even with fresh tomatoes, some sour cream and a delicious tomato salsa. Delicious to eat straight out of the oven! After opening the tortilla chips remain crunchy for three to five days, if well sealed.
