Having Haggis for tea? Then why not try it with our Whiskey Sauce. Pour Whiskey Sauce on steak, brush over salmon or use as an ingredient for flavoring your cooking. Having pancakes or porridge for breakfast? Then add a slug of our Whiskey Syrup to make it really special. Ice-cream is transformed with our Whiskey Chocolate Sauce or our Malt Whiskey Caramel Sauce. Fancy a salad? Then why not add a drizzle of our Whiskey Balsamic Dressing.Finally add a dollop of Whiskey BBQ to your sausage or bacon roll, it's braw (as they say in Scotland). A spicier version of our original Whisky Sauce. Made using fiery Scotch Bonnet  peppers, this little sauce packs a punch! Amazing splashed on Melted Cheese on Toast or on a cheese toastie, delicious in spaghetti bolognese, yummy in stews and chilli dishes……the possibilities are endless. Bonnet Burgers

Made with our fiery and rich Highlander's Hot Sauce.

Ingredients (Make 6)

  • 500g lean beef steak mince
  • 1 large egg
  • 50g butter
  • 100g finely diced onion
  • 15g dry breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp Tabasco sauce
  • 3 tsp Highlander's Hot Sauce
  • Salt and pepper
  • vegetable oil


  1. Fry the diced onion in the butter and 1 tbsp of vegetable oil until soft but not colored.
  2. Combine the mince, egg, cooked onion, tomato sauce, Tabasco sauce, Highlander's Hot Sauce and breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Divide into 6 equal parts and shape into patties by hand or using a ring mold.
  4. Heat 2 tbsp of vegetable oil in a frying pan and when hot place the burger patties in the pan, searing 1 minute per side.
  5. Transfer to a pre-heated baking tray and cook for 5 mins in an oven pre-heated to 180°C.
  6. Enjoy in a burger bun with an optional extra shake of Highlander's Hot Sauce or Scotch Whiskey Sauce on top.
