Oil and Vinegar has selected a great selection of balsamic vinegars from the best vinegar homes in the Italian Modena. Of course these balsamic vinegars are matured completely naturally, without any added sugars, caramel or preservatives. Our Balsamic Vinegars have been graded Rosso, Bronze, Silver and Gold according to the method of production (Travasi versus Solera), aging period and density (thickness),

This Aceto Balsamico di Modena IGP Silver comes from the vinegar home Giuseppe Giuste. Established in 1605, the 17th generation now runs the vinegar business. Preserving traditions, with ancient natural recipes and production methods is very important to them. They possess a total of 1200 wooden barrels, half of them are from the 15 th, 16 th and 17 th century. For ages, these barrels have been imbued with the aromas and flavours of grape must and wine vinegar from the best quality Trebbiano and Lambrusco grapes. The maturation takes about ten years, resulting in a syrupy balsamic vinegar with a density of 1.33-1.35.

As you would expect, the aging of this balsamic vinegar is according to an old process -named Travassi-it matures in a number of smaller barrels of different kinds of wood: oak, chestnut, ash, cherry tree, mulberry tree and juniper berry. Each kind of wood gives the balsamic vinegar its own aroma and taste. Altogether, this explains the aromatic, rich and intense body of this Aceto Balsamico di Modena IGP Silver. A sweet taste dominates in the beginning, but after that hints of oak, nuts, honey and prunes also emerge.

Give your caprese salad with mozzarella an extra touch with this balsamic vinegar. Your grilled meat or fish will have a luxurious taste when sprinkled with the Aceto Balsamico di Modena IGP Silver. For a tantalizing experience, combine the balsamic vinegar with fresh fruit, like strawberries or ripe pears. A teaspoon of this Silver balsamic can be taken as a digestive at the end of a meal. It will amaze and surprise you.

The IGP label stands for Indicazione Geografica Protetta, which is a label for local products with a protected origin. As well as the Corsorzi in Italy, the European Union guarantees the traditional production and quality of the product and have both tested and approved the product.
