A well-known combination of 4 different peppercorns.
Black peppercorns are in fact the unripe green berries from the pepper plant, which have turned brownish or black during the drying process.
White peppercorns are obtained from the ripe berries or the pepper plant. After they've been soaked in water for a number of days, the outer skins are rinsed off and creamy centers. The aroma is earthy and the taste is pungent, but less pungent than that or black pepper.
Green peppercorns are the green, unripe berries or the pepper plant. Green pepper is aromatic with a fresh flavor but not pungent.
Pink peppercorns are three, ripe berries from a South American bush and not related to true pepper.
Pepper is healthy: it is expectorant and enhances blood circulation.

Great as a table pepper to complement any cuisine. Perfect in dressings and on steaks and meat.
