Gyros is a traditional Greek meal that consists of grilled pork on a large skewer, which is cut into strips and seasoned. In Greece gyros is usually eaten as part of a meal or in a pita sandwich. At home you can easily create this authentic Greek meal yourself by using the extremely balanced Gyros Mélange.

The only thing you need to do is to cut the meat of your choice into small strips and add two-three tablespoons of herb mélange per 500 g meat together with lemon juice and olive oil. Leave it to marinade for about twenty minutes, but if you really want the ultimate taste sensation, it is best if you leave it to rest in your refrigerator for a night. Next, you can bake or grill the meat in olive oil and you are ready to go: your self-made gyros dish! Serve it with grilled pita bread, a fresh green salad with olives and of course, a huge bowl of tzatziki sauce.

Did you know that Gyros Mélange also tastes extremely well with meatloaf? To create a slightly different marinade, you can add some chopped coriander leaves and yoghurt.
