A proper vinaigrette is made with 3 parts (olive) oil and 1 part (wine) vinegar, supplemented with spices or other flavorings. In this Apple Balsamic Vinaigrette, the balsamic vinegar and apple form the base, instead. Balsamic is a type of vinegar made from the so-called Trebbiano grapes, a type of grape from North Italy. The addition of real apple, apple vinegar and sunflower oil gives this Apple Balsamic Vinaigrette a unique sour, yet fresh flavour, which goes particularly well with salads or serves as a dip for bread or raw vegetables. For a wonderful, summery feel, which tastes no less during the less sunny seasons.
