Recept från Oil & Vinegar

Nice to know

Tabouleh is a salad from the Syrian-Libanese-Palestinian cuisine. It can be eaten both as a side dish and a starter. The dish consists of bulgur, sliced tomatoes, mint, parsley, onions, spring unions or shallots. It is then doused with olive oil and lemon juice and sprinkled with salt and pepper, and sometimes cinnamon. Tabbūle means 'slightly sharp' in old-Syrian-Libanese-Arabic. Tabouleh is a cold starter that is traditionally folded into leafs of Romaine lettuce and eaten using their hands.
